Evans is a perfect 8-0 against Greenbrier since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. Evans is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Evans is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Statesboro on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Knights lost 43-20 to the Blue Devils. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-7.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Tripp Furgeison, who threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Greenbrier came up short against Effingham County on Friday, falling 42-17. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Rebels are ranked 113th).

Evans' defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Greenbrier, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Evans was able to grind out a solid win over Greenbrier in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 28-17. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Wolfpack's Ryan Clayborn, who picked up 98 receiving yards and one TD, and also punched in one score on the ground. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Knights to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
