Soccer Game Preview: Mauldin vs. Easley

The Mauldin Mavericks will challenge the Easley Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mauldin will be strutting in after a victory while Easley will be coming in after a defeat.

Easley will be up against a hot Mauldin team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Mauldin came out on top against Greenwood by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Ali Muguerza and Kyle Monte scored all three of Mauldin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Easley's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenville. That's two games in a row now that the Green Wave have lost by exactly two goals.

Mauldin's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Easley, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

Mauldin skirted past Easley 5-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2016. Will Mauldin repeat their success, or does Easley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
