Recap: Boulder Panthers vs. Legacy Lightning

The Boulder Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Legacy. Boulder has struggled against Legacy recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gaby Mccollester, who scored six points along with 14 rebounds. Mccollester hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Oder, who scored ten points.

Boulder dropped their record down to 6-9 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.0 points per game. As for Legacy, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.

Boulder will take on Poudre at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Poudre focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. Legacy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Prairie View at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Prairie View is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
