While Plattsburgh put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Massena. The Hornets walked away with a 5-0 win over the Red Raiders. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won three in a row.

Not much got past Lucas Kowalowski, who gave up just seven hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Massena off the board.

On the hitting side, Plattsburgh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kal Abernethy, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Plattsburgh's record is now 11-1. As for Massena, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plattsburgh will welcome Beekmantown at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.33 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Massena, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Canton at 4:30 p.m.
