Baseball Game Preview: Holly Grove Christian Eagles vs. Nandua Warriors

Holly Grove Christian is 0-6 against Nandua since March of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Holly Grove Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Nandua will be coming in after a defeat.

Holly Grove Christian's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over Chestertown Christian Academy. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the match before.

Nathan Hamilton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Holly Grove Christian got a massive performance out of Josh Zucker, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-2. Zucker is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Bradley Chatham, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Nandua came up short against Laurel on Friday, falling 11-1.

Nandua's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Holly Grove Christian, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
