Booker hasn't had much luck against North Port recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Booker Tornadoes will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Port Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Booker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Booker was handed a 16-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Southeast 9-7.

Addiel Martinez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, Dameer Watford was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Zakori Edmond, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, North Port came up short against Sarasota on Tuesday, falling 15-1. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Port now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Booker, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
