Six Rivers recap September 24, 2013

Potosi extended the longest winning streak in Six Rivers this week by beating Benton/Scales Mound IL, 56-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Potosi took down the Zephyrs 56-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kyle Kaiser threw for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.

Mark Siegert's team's dynamic duo of Kaiser and Chase Kruser proved to be unstoppable against Benton/Scales Mound IL, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

The Chieftains' dynamic duo of Kaiser and Kruser proved tough for Erik Kudronowicz's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Kaiser put up the best numbers in passing as Potosi beat the Zephyrs.

Kruser was the best wideout in the league this week as the Chieftains defeated Benton/Scales Mound IL.

Brett Matye provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Shullsburg beat River Ridge. He completed 2 passes for 39 yards and also ran for 242 yards.

Matye was a beast in the backfield as the Miners bested the Timberwolves.

Matye was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate Nathan Houtakker added to the ground attack by rushing for 84 yards.

Leading Six Rivers in both passing and receiving yards, Potosi's Kaiser and Kruser have proven to be a lethal combination. Kaiser has thrown for 663 yards this season, while Kruser, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 17 catches for 413 yards. Black Hawk's Tanner Sweeney leads the league in rushing yards with 712.

The Warriors' offense has scored 248 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Chieftains have allowed only 34 on the year.

One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Potosi and Black Hawk face off next week.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Cory Milz's team takes on the Chieftains. At the moment, the Warriors are in third, while Potosi is in first.

There should be lots of points scored when Black Hawk and the Chieftains face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Warriors comes in having scored 248 this season, while Potosi has scored 226. Black Hawk scored 43 points last week as it bested Cassville.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Warriors take on the Chieftains. Black Hawk has allowed 67 points this season, while Potosi has given up 34. The Warriors allowed 6 points last week as they defeated the Comets.
