Basketball Game Preview: Round Valley Elks vs. Safford Bulldogs

Having just played yesterday, the Round Valley Elks will head out on the road to face off against the Safford Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Round Valley is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Round Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-47 to Valley.

Meanwhile, Safford came up short against Palo Verde on Tuesday, falling 68-45. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Safford's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Round Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Round Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Safford when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 41-36 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Round Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
