Baseball Game Preview: Haddon Township Hawks vs. Sterling Silver Knights

The Haddon Township Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the Sterling Silver Knights at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Haddon Township lost 12-6 to Collingswood on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Sterling hadn't done well against Haddon Heights recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Silver Knights came out on top against the Garnets by a score of 5-1.

Sterling got a great performance from Casey Kozeniewski as he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jason Camardo, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Luke Lomax was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Haddon Township couldn't quite finish off Sterling in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
