After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Terrell County, Mitchell County was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Miller County Pirates by a score of 44-36. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hannah Cratic, who posted 14 points. That was a full 38.9% of Miller County's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhamya Hughes, who scored six points and ten boards.
Mitchell County's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Miller County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.
