Basketball Recap: Effingham Takes a Loss

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Effingham was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They were beaten by the Mt. Zion Braves 58-24. The Hearts have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Effingham's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Mt. Zion, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

When Effingham and Mt. Zion next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Effingham will take on Dieterich and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Mt. Zion will try to stop Normal Community's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
