Soccer Recap: North Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rogers last Tuesday, North Central came back down to earth. North Central fell just short of the West Valley Eagles by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, North Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while West Valley are ranked 12th).

North Central has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record this season. The win keeps West Valley at an undefeated 7-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. North Central is set to take on their familiar foe Clarkston at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Valley will challenge rival Pullman at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Valley is on a four-game streak of home wins, Pullman a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
