Softball Recap: La Porte Slicers vs. Portage Indians
La Porte won the last time they faced Portage and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Slicers walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Indians.
Mia Maxel looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Shayla Sorg, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Evie Travis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
La Porte kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Portage only managed eight hits.
