Basketball Game Preview: Cocke County Fighting Cocks vs. Grainger Grizzlies

Cocke County is on a three-game streak of home losses, Grainger a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Cocke County Fighting Cocks will get right back to it and host the Grainger Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. Cocke County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Grainger likes a good challenge.

On Monday, Cocke County came up short against Morristown-Hamblen West and fell 68-56.

Meanwhile, Grainger lost to Cosby on the road by a 75-60 margin on Friday.

Grainger's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Cocke County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

Cocke County came out on top in a nail-biter against Grainger when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 67-65. Will Cocke County repeat their success, or does Grainger have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
