Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Austin). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Sharpstown Apollos a 29-0 shutout on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Chritian Gonzalez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Austin is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-15 otherwise. Gonzalez was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
