East Chicago Central hit Thornton Fractional North with a 13-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Meteors might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 21-7 to the Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Meteors in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost five in a row.

Royal McClinton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Thornton Fractional North's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 2-25 when he doesn't).
