Baseball Recap: Cary's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Middle Creek, Cary was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Green Level Gators with a sharp 8-2 victory. This was a revenge game for the Imps: when they faced off against the Gators last Monday, they had to take a 10-5 loss.

Owen Green was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Andrew Mohler, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

With the win, Cary broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. As for Green Level, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cary will take on rival Middle Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Green Level is set to challenge their familiar foe Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
