Volleyball Recap: Oshkosh West Wildcats vs. Hamilton Chargers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Oshkosh West can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Hamilton Chargers on Saturday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Oshkosh West was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Hamilton work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-12, 25-20.
Sydnee Nelson paced Oshkosh West's offense, picking up 14 kills. Nelson got some help from MaKaelyn Clark and her 23 assists. Emma Liebergen controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Among those leading the charge was Emily Zgonc, who had eight digs and two aces.
Oshkosh West's loss dropped their record down to 26-8. As for Hamilton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 34-8.
Oshkosh West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hamilton, they will face off against Arrowhead on Thursday.
