Caledonia is 8-2 against Thornapple Kellogg since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Caledonia Fighting Scots will take on the Thornapple Kellogg Trojans in a tournament on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Caledonia has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Thornapple Kellogg will arrive with three straight victories.

Caledonia came up into this matchup off a tough 31-point loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Mona Shores by a score of 59-56 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while the Sailors are ranked 101st).

Meanwhile, Thornapple Kellogg posted their biggest win since January 3rd on Friday. They blew past Union 66-40.

Thornapple Kellogg pushed their record up to 12-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points over those games. As for Caledonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.

Caledonia couldn't quite finish off Thornapple Kellogg when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 47-44. Can Caledonia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
