Softball Recap: Notre Dame Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

It's playoff time, and Notre Dame had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Piedmont Hills Pirates on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Notre Dame's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Eliana Crespin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Notre Dame's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Piedmont Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.

As of now, neither Notre Dame nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
