            The Scotts Hill Lions will head out to  challenge the Hardin County Tigers  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
While Scotts Hill's  victory against Madison wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Mustangs  6-5 on Tuesday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Lions.

 Cy Maness made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  struck out nine batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Silas Howard was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  he has  hit this season. Another player making a difference was  Jackson Crider, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Scotts Hill was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .316 or higher in three consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Hardin County, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Monday. They came out on top against Jackson North Side by a score of  5-0  on Tuesday.
 Scotts Hill's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-14-1. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hardin County, their record now sits at 20-5.
