Recap: Bolivar Central Tigers vs. Middleton Tigers
If the Bolivar Central Tigers were feeling good off their 62-36 takedown of the Munford Cougars on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bolivar Central took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Middleton on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Bolivar Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Middleton is ranked 81st).
Middleton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgan Talley out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Harmony Bell, who scored 15 points.
Bolivar Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Middleton, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
Bolivar Central will stay at home for another game and welcome Whitehaven at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Middleton, they will head out on the road to face off against McNairy Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
