Baseball Recap: Skyline Raiders vs. Lancaster Tigers
Skyline extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 8-7. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancaster Tigers. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.
As for Lancaster, their win bumped their record up to 10-6-1. The game was the first time they have beaten Skyline on their field since February 28, 2017.
For Lancaster's part, Ivan Diaz looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, Diaz posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025.
At the plate, Cai Johnson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Derrick Chatman, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
While Skyline had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
