Volleyball Recap: Missisquoi Valley Falls Short Against Ranked Vermont Commons

Missisquoi Valley faced Vermont Commons in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds fell just short of the Flying Turtles by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their meetings with the Flying Turtles: they've now lost six in a row.

Missisquoi Valley wouldn't go down easily and took Vermont Commons into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-15, 25-18, 18-25, 15-9.

Missisquoi Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Vermont Commons, their win ended a 12-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10.

As of now, neither Missisquoi Valley nor the Flying Turtles have any future games scheduled.
