The Gig Harbor Tides will take on the North Thurston Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Gig Harbor had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt River Ridge on Wednesday. Gig Harbor blew past River Ridge 13-2. The Tides haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Quentin Bockhorn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Daniel Porras, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Another player making a difference was Ethan Mar, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, North Thurston got themselves on the board against Silas on Wednesday, but Silas never followed suit. They put the hurt on Silas with a sharp 8-0 victory. North Thurston not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12, 2024.
Rudy Larson made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Larson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Larson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Albertson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Gig Harbor's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for North Thurston, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.
Gig Harbor skirted past North Thurston 5-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will Gig Harbor repeat their success, or does North Thurston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
