Yucca Valley hadn't done well against Twentynine Palms recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Trojans came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 9-6. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Kaydance Steward and Hannah Cusack did most of the damage at the plate: Steward went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Cusack went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Gabbi Roses, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Yucca Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-7-1. As for Twentynine Palms, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.

Yucca Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
