Gate City won the last time they faced Union and things went their way on Friday too. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 6-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Gate City, who have now won nine matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Union from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Keegan Bright led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The win (which was Gate City's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those four contests. As for Union, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Coming up, Gate City will square off against Abingdon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gate City's defense better be ready for this one: Abingdon have averaged an impressive 3.9 goals per game this season. As for Union, they will take on John Battle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Union will need to watch out since John Battle have now posted at least four goals in their last three games.
