Baseball Recap: Gilman Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Gilman dropped their record down to 7-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loyal Greyhounds. The Pirates were not able to make up for their loss to the Greyhounds from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Loyal, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.3 runs this season.

For Loyal's part, they let Cain Toufar and Hunter Walter run wild. Toufar got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, while Walter went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Toufar is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Loyal beat Gilman by a score of 6-0 on Thursday.
