While McDowell put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Erie. The Trojans put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Gabriella Deluca made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alexandra Smith, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mya Kaliszewski, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
