Baseball Recap: Westover Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Westover Christian Academy lost against Roanoke Valley Christian back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the EAGLES. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ben Knecht was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Westover Christian Academy is 2-1 when Knecht posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Logan Smith also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Westover Christian Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Roanoke Valley Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Westover Christian Academy will square off against rival Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Roanoke Valley Christian is set to take on their familiar foe Temple Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
