Baseball Game Preview: Galax Maroon Tide vs. Auburn Eagles

Galax hasn't had much luck against Auburn recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Maroon Tide will challenge the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Galax has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Galax's offense. They lost 11-0 to Floyd County on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Auburn waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Buffaloes by a score of 9-4.

Auburn's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Galax, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Galax came up short against Auburn when the teams last played back in March, falling 6-1. Can the Maroon Tide avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
