Basketball Recap: Hebrew Academy Has No Trouble Against Mater Bay Academy

Hebrew Academy's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Mater Bay Academy Rays 50-25.

Despite the loss, Mater Bay Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Shandon Bullard posted 15 points and five steals. Bullard is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Hebrew Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Mater Bay Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.

The future could be bright for both Hebrew Academy and Mater Bay Academy: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Hebrew Academy will try to hand Katz Yeshiva their third-straight loss when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. Similarly, Mater Bay Academy will look to extend Coral Shores' nine-game losing streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
