Baseball Game Preview: Green Run Stallions vs. Norfolk Academy Bulldogs

The Green Run Stallions are taking a road trip to challenge the Norfolk Academy Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Run is looking for their season's first win.

Green Run is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They took a 15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hedgesville on Thursday.

Tameron Campbell was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Campbell was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-3. Those home runs were his first of the season.

Campbell wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nick Logsdon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. CJ Jones was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Norfolk Academy came out on top against Norfolk Christian on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Ambassadors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since March 28th.

Green Run's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Norfolk Academy, their record now sits at 11-9.

Green Run might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Norfolk Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Stallions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
