Volleyball Game Preview: St. Francis Spartans vs. Loyola Academy Ramblers

For the first time this season, St. Francis will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Loyola Academy Ramblers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Loyola Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Francis, who comes in off a win.

Last Saturday, St. Francis was able to grind out a solid win over Buffalo Grove, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Loyola Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Maine South on Monday and fell 2-1. The Ramblers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Loyola Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 21-25, 25-20.

St. Francis' victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Loyola Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
