Basketball Recap: Mountain Range Piles Up the Points Against Adams City

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Legacy, Mountain Range was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 54-25 win over the Adams City Eagles.

Mountain Range was led to victory by Delilah Lucero and Josieraye Running Wolf. Lucero went 8 for 13 on her way to 21 points and seven rebounds, while Running Wolf went 9 of 14 on her way to 19 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lucero has scored at least a third of Mountain Range's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camila Jimenez, who posted seven points and six assists.

Mountain Range smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Mountain Range's record now sits at 3-5. As for Adams City, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Mountain Range will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Northglenn at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Northglenn will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Mountain Range surely won't give up without a fight. Adams City will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Montbello at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Adams City is facing Montbello at the right time seeing as Montbello is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
