Soccer Game Preview: Wimberley vs. Lockhart

The Wimberley Texans will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Lockhart Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Wimberley saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Bandera by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, Lockhart put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Shoemaker onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. The Lions' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matchups.

Wimberley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Lockhart, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Wimberley came up short against Lockhart when the teams last played back in January of 2022, falling 3-1. Can Wimberley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
