Basketball Recap: Golden View Classical Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Lyons

Golden View Classical Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Lyons Lions on Monday, falling 48-26. The Sentinels were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Lyons' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leora Hagan led the charge by shooting 43% from the field to rack up 13 points and three steals. Gretta Wynja was another key player, putting up seven points and seven boards.

Coming up, Golden View Classical Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Liberty Tree Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lyons, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Loveland Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
