Softball Recap: Streator Comes Up Short

If Streator was feeling good fresh off their 10-2 takedown of Herscher last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Tigers on Tuesday, falling 13-3. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 10-2.

Streator saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Ondrey, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Streator dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Herscher, their record now sits at 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Streator will challenge Washington at 4:30 p.m. on the 9th. As for Herscher, they will face off against Watseka at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
