On Friday, Brighton Charter was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 38-37 to Estrella.

Brighton Charter's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Potter, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaziel Nunez, who scored nine points.

Brighton Charter bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.8 points per game. As for Estrella, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.

Brighton Charter will look to defend their home court on Monday against Sonoran Science Academy at 5:00 p.m. Sonoran Science Academy is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. Estrella will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against American Heritage Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 25th.
