Kimberly faced Neenah in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Papermakers blew past the Rockets 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Papermakers in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won eight in a row.

While Kimberly won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10, 25-23.

Alex Krause paced Kimberly's offense, picking up 21 kills. Krause got some help from Blake Zielinski and his 31 assists. Zielinski was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Despite the defeat, Neenah saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Levi Steckling had seven digs and four assists.

Kimberly's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Neenah, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Kimberly has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Hortonville on the 16th. As for Neenah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Appleton North on the 11th.
