Soccer Game Preview: Highlands vs. Lanier

Highlands hasn't had much luck against Lanier recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Owls will square off against the Voks at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Highlands barely beat Fox Tech the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Owls never let the Buffaloes get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Highlands.

They hit Fox Tech with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anderson Galo (2), Jaimer Bernardez, and Julian Sanchez.

Meanwhile, Lanier won against Seguin on Tuesday with five goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. The Voks blew past Edison 5-1. The victory continues a trend for Lanier in their matchups with Edison: they've now won five in a row.

Highlands' win bumped their record up to 9-7-1. As for Lanier, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
