Soccer Game Preview: Sonora vs. Manteca + How To Watch

The Sonora Wildcats will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Manteca Buffaloes at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Sonora is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Oakdale on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, Sonora couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Sammy Villifana, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Manteca made easy work of Escalon on Monday and carried off a 6-1 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

Manteca's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Sonora, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Sonora took their win against Manteca in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 8-3 score. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buffaloes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
