Softball Recap: Mcdaniel's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After flying high against Franklin last Wednesday, McDaniel came back down to earth. The Mountain Lions took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roosevelt Roughriders on Friday. The Mountain Lions' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

McDaniel saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amira Edwards, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. Another was Lucy Anderson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

McDaniel's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-6. As for Roosevelt, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Looking ahead, McDaniel will venture away from home to take on Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Roosevelt, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-2 loss against Franklin on the 15th.
