Volleyball Recap: McComb Panthers vs. Ottoville Big Green
After flying high against Vanlue on Monday, McComb came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Ottoville Big Green by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Big Green recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
While McComb ultimately came up short, they really made Ottoville work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 26-24, 18-25, 25-16, 15-8.
Addisen Krassow paced McComb's offense, picking up 18 kills. Krassow got some help from Claire Bryan and her 17 assists. Morgan Kern controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
McComb now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Ottoville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.
McComb didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Elmwood on the 29th. As for Ottoville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Leipsic on the 30th.
