Volleyball Recap: Glenn Finds Home Court Redemption Against Elkhart Christian Academy

There's no place like home for Glenn, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday.

Glenn's got stronger as the match went on, holding Elkhart Christian Academy to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 25-16.

Vivian Stephens paced Glenn's offense, picking up 11 kills. Stephens got some help from Addison Manering and her 22 assists. Manering was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Elkhart Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Addy Trovatore, who had 14 digs, and Ryleigh Viront, who had 12 digs and nine kills. Viront has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 39 times she's played.

Glenn's record is now 22-8. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 17-12 record.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Glenn and Plymouth will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th. The Pilgrims/Rockies will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Westview on the 9th.
