Softball Recap: Heritage Huskies vs. Knightdale Knights

Heritage put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Knightdale Knights a 15-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Heritage.

Lydia Bollinger looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Samantha Langdon was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple. She hasn't dropped below three hits for three straight games. Victoria Hall was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Heritage's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-6. As for Knightdale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Rolesville the next time they take the field. Heritage will head out to face Rolesville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Knightdale will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
