Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hopkins). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Buffalo Bison on Wednesday, sneaking past 7-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in April.

The victory got Hopkins back to even at 6-6. As for Buffalo, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Hopkins and Buffalo could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Royals (ranked 153rd) will meet Minnetonka (ranked 12th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Buffalo will face off against Eden Prairie at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (224 vs. 93).
