Volleyball Recap: Garner's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Garner had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Garner was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10, 25-7.

Sophie Raymond paced Garner's offense, picking up ten kills. Raymond were helped by Ryleigh McDonald and Haley Heath, who contributed 12 assists each. McDonald was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Garner's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Southeast Raleigh, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Garner is set to challenge their familiar foe Smithfield-Selma at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Southeast Raleigh will face off against rival Fuquay - Varina at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
