South Windsor had won three straight games and Kailie Girard did her part to make it four on Friday. The Bobcats put the hurt on the East Catholic Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win for which the team can thank Girard, who had 11 kills, seven digs, six aces, and two blocks. She has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 35 times she's played.

South Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for East Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

South Windsor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against RHAM on the 20th. As for East Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Plainville on the 23rd.
