Shawnee had won two straight games and Karleigh Hutchins did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Indians blew past the Van Wert Cougars 3-0 with plenty of help from Hutchins, who had 12 aces, ten digs, and eight kills. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Shawnee was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-12, 25-5.

Shawnee was led to victory by Chelsea Burkholder and Sami Rettig. Burkholder had 21 assists and four digs, while Rettig had eight digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Shawnee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Shawnee's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Van Wert, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-18.
